Fukuoka Travel Guide - Fukuoka Airport (FUK)

Passport and Visa

• Make sure your passport is valid for at least six (6) months from your date of entry and has at least one (1) blank page.
  • Biometric (IC) passports are recommended for faster processing at Fukuoka Airport's Customs e-Gates.

• Philippine passport holders must obtain a visa prior to travel. Japan does not offer visa-free entry for Filipino citizens.

 

Registration at Visit Japan Web

• All guests bound for Japan must register on Visit Japan Web.
• Save a copy of the QR code for smoother processing at immigration and customs.

The Japanese government prohibits the import of:

• Meat (all types)
• Fruits and vegetables
• Plants

Please ensure these items are removed from your baggage before departure.

Quarantine

• If you received a health questionnaire during your flight, complete and submit it at the quarantine counter.

 

Immigration

• Present your passport and visa (if applicable) at the immigration counter.

 

Claiming Baggage

• After immigration, proceed to claim your baggage at the baggage claim area.
• Check the respective baggage carousel on the display screen for your flight.

Customs

• Show the QR code from your Visit Japan Web registration.
• Passengers with biometric (IC) passports and have completed registration on Visit Japan Web can use Customs’ e-Gates at Fukuoka Airport.

Philippine e-Travel Form

• Anyone entering the Philippines, including guests on layover flights, must register for the eTravel and Customs Declaration within 72 hours before their flight.
• eTravel declaration is free of charge and is mandatory for travel to the Philippines.

 

Check-In

• Arrive at the airport at least three (3) hours before your flight.
• If you have checked baggage, print your bag tags from the self-service kiosks first before checking in your bag. 
  • Our kiosks are located in front of Counters E and F.
  • Airport counters are located at Counter E and close one (1) hour before departure.
• Check the display screens to find information about the counters for your flight.
• Prepare your valid passport, booking confirmation or Itinerary Receipt, and visa (if applicable) for checking at the counters.
• Make your airport experience smoother and quicker by using Cebu Pacific’s self-service kiosks for check-in and bag tag printing. Simply prepare your booking reference number or barcode to retrieve your booking.
• If you checked in online, a digital boarding pass is accepted when departing from Fukuoka Airport.

Customs & Boarding

If you are carrying:

• Foreign-made goods you plan to bring back to Japan:

  • Fill out the “Registration for Carrying out Foreign-made Goods” form.
  • Get the form from the Customs Desk at the airport.
  • Present the form and items to Customs for confirmation.
  • Without prior registration, these goods may be taxed upon re-entry as if purchased abroad.

• Cash or any monetary amount over ¥1,000,000:

  • Must be declared at Customs

Passenger Rights

• You have certain rights as an air passenger in case of flight disruptions.

Exiting the Airport

• If your flight is disrupted after immigration and customs clearance, you may be allowed to exit the airport only after Immigration cancels the departure stamp on your passport.
• In such cases, Duty-Free items must be surrendered to ground handlers (GH) or returned to the duty-free stores. Ground handlers will store the items securely until your next departure.
