Hand Carry Guidelines

Yes. Your hand carry items are free of charge as long as they are within the allowed number of items and size limits. 

No. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, and prosthetic devices are not counted toward your hand carry allowance as long as these are required to be used by the passenger during the flight. 

No, duty-free items purchased after security checks, accompanied by a receipt, and in its original Duty-Free packaging, do not count as hand carry. 

Yes. You may bring 1 hand carry item (max. 56 × 36 × 23 cm) and 1 personal item (max. 20 × 20 × 35 cm), with a combined weight of up to 10 kg for Cebu Pacific (5J) flights and 7 kg for Cebgo (DG) flights.

No. The 10kg allowance only applies to Cebu Pacific (5J) flights departing on September 15, 2026 onwards. For Cebgo (DG) flights, the hand carry allowance remains 7kg.

Yes. The updated 10 kg hand carry allowance applies to 5J flights departing September 15, 2026 onwards, regardless of when the flight was booked. For Cebgo (DG) flights, the hand carry allowance remains at 7 kg.

Cebgo (DG) uses smaller aircraft with limited cabin storage, so the 7 kg allowance remains.

No. All sides of your hand carry item must fit within the allowed dimensions. If even one side exceeds the limit, additional charges may apply.

If your bag exceeds the allowed dimensions, it may need to be checked in and additional charges may apply.

Make sure your hand carry and personal items fit the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.

These are considered three separate items. To stay within the allowance, you may place one item inside another bag if space permits. 

Yes. Shopping bags, food items, gift bags, and other non-duty-free purchases made inside the airport are counted as part of your hand carry allowance.

To avoid additional charges, we recommend placing them inside your hand carry items whenever possible. 

Cebgo (DG) flights use smaller aircraft with less baggage capacity. For everyone’s safety, the standard hand carry allowance for these flights is 7kg.

Check the first two characters of your flight number. 5J means you’re flying with Cebu Pacific, while DG means you’re flying with Cebgo. You can find your flight number on your itinerary or boarding pass.
