 👶 Infant or below 2 years old


An Infant Fee will be applied to guests traveling with an infant due to the special assistance required. Guests have the following options: 

  • Infant without seat:
    • The infant will sit on the adult's lap.
    • No baggage allowance will be given for infants on lap.
  • Infant with seat:
    • The infant will occupy their own seat next to the parent/guardian's charged at the lowest available fare.
    • The infant will have their own hand-carry baggage allowance. They can also purchase up to three (3) pieces of checked baggage.
    • Infants with seat are required to have a Child Restraint System (CRS) that conforms to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) or certified by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
      • The CRS width must not exceed 17 inches to ensure that it fits within the aircraft seat.

Reminders:

  • For their safety, infants below 8 days old will not be accepted for carriage.
  • Infants can only travel if accompanied by an adult aged 18 years and above. Only one (1) infant is allowed per adult passenger.
  • Guests traveling with infants may present the infant's physical passport, birth certificate, or baby book as identification during check-in.

👶 Ages 2 to 6 years


Children below 7 years old are not allowed to travel alone. They may only be accepted if they are accompanied by a person at least 18 years old.

Please present a valid ID of the the traveling child at the airport. 

  • A birth certificate may be accepted for children without a school ID.
  • Parents or guardians may be asked to submit additional identity verification at the check-in counter.

If a minor is traveling with both or any of their parents, there is no need to secure a permit as long as there is a document to prove the minor's relations such as:

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Valid IDs

 


👶 Ages 7 to 11 years


Children aged 7 to 11 years are allowed to travel alone on domestic flights only — they are not allowed to travel unaccompanied on international flights. 

Requirements for minors traveling alone on domestic flights:

  • Accomplished Unaccompanied Minor Form and paid Unaccompanied Minor Handling Fee
  • ID of a parent/guardian accompanying the minor on departure
  • ID of parent/guardian picking up the minor on arrival
  • ID of traveling child
  • Paid Unaccompanied Minor Handling Fee
  • Confirmed flight segments

 


👶 Ages 12 years 


Filipino passengers aged 12 years are allowed to travel alone on domestic flights. They won't be required an Unaccompanied Minor Service anymore.

However, they are not allowed to travel alone internationally or outside the Philippines.

 


👶 Ages 13 to 17 years 


Young passengers aged 13 to 17 years are allowed to travel alone.

  • Passengers below 18 years old traveling from Davao must present Travel Permit issued by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)  or by the Special Office for Children's Concerns (SOCC) at check-in.
  • Filipino passengers aged 13 to 17 years traveling alone to international destinations must present Travel Clearance issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). 

 

Foreign passport holders below 15 years old traveling to the Philippines without either parent must present an Affidavit of Consent (notarized or with copies of their parent(s)' passports) for the Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG), in addition to their required travel documents.

  • If a WEG was not obtained before travel, Philippine Immigration may require a consent letter, copies of both parents' passports, and payment of the applicable WEG processing fee upon arrival. Admission is subject to the approval of the Bureau of Immigration. For the latest WEG requirements, please contact the Bureau of Immigration (BI) before your trip.
