Ho Chi Minh Travel Guide - Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN)

❗️ Pre-arrival Digital Declaration

Customs:

• Use the green lane if you have nothing to declare, or the red lane if you have items to declare.
• As per Vietnamese regulations, passengers who exceed the duty-free limits for cigarettes, alcohol, alcoholic beverages, and personal belongings are required to pay customs duties.

Philippine e-Travel Form: 

• Anyone entering the Philippines, including guests on layover flights, must register for the eTravel and Customs Declaration within 72 hours before their flight.
• eTravel declaration is free of charge and is mandatory for travel to the Philippines.

Check-In: 

• Arrive at the airport at least three (3) hours before your flight.
  • Our airport counters close one (1) hour before departure.
• Check the display screens to find information about the counters for your flight.
• Currently, this airport does not accept digital boarding passes. Make sure to secure a printed boarding pass at the counters.
• Prepare your valid passport, booking confirmation or Itinerary Receipt, and visa (if applicable) for checking at the counters.
• Proceed to check in your bags (if any). Make sure to keep in mind your booking's baggage allowance.

Customs & Boarding:

• If you're carrying cash exceeding $5000 USD or đ15,000,000 Vietnamese Dong, or other equivalent currencies, you must declare this at the customs checkpoint.
• Check your printed boarding pass and the nearest display screen to find the boarding gate number.

Passenger Rights: 

• You have certain rights as an air passenger in case of flight disruptions.
• If you are departing from Vietnam and your flight has been delayed by at least four (4) hours (attributable to Cebu Pacific):
  • You may choose to either rebook, convert to Travel Fund, or refund and receive Vietnam-regulated compensation of USD 50 in cash or a one-way Travel Voucher equivalent to the delayed sector.
  • The one-way Travel Voucher may be issued only with the passenger's prior written consent.
  • Compensation shall be provided immediately at the airport, where practicable, or within 14 working days for bank transfer.

Communications: 

• At Tan Son Nhat International Airport, communication with passengers is primarily done through flight information display screens (FIDS) and printed or digital signages.

• We also encourage passengers to monitor their email for important updates from Cebu Pacific.

Exiting the airport: 

• If your flight is disrupted after immigration and customs clearance, you may be allowed to exit Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
• Duty-free items can be brought out of the airport as well.
