Guidelines for Transporting Human Remains

Human remains may be sent through CEB Cargo. Please present the original and submit 4 photocopies of the following documents:

• ✅ Death Certificate.

• ✅ Embalming Certificate

  • This is not required for Muslims.

• ✅ Quarantine Permit from the Bureau of Quarantine – Department of Health.

• ✅ Transfer Permit or Permit to Transport from the Municipal/City Health Office.

• Please secure four photocopies of each document. 

• Original documents must be presented upon transfer of Cadaver. 

• Coffin must be hermitically sealed and crated. 

• Shipments must be at the Cebu Pacific Cargo Acceptance Office at least five hours before the flight. 

• The estimated freight cost ranges from 20,000 PHP to 25,000 PHP.
  
  

• You'll need to confirm the requirements with the country of departure and the destination country before making any arrangements.

  • The documents must be in English or the language of the origin and destination country. If not, they may need to be translated and certified.

• ✅ Death Certificate

  • If coming from a foreign country, you'll need to provide a true copy with proper translation.

  • Make sure the translated copy is certified by the appropriate authorities from the country of origin.

• ✅ Exhumation Permit from the City Health Office 

• ✅ Quarantine Permit from the Bureau of Quarantine – Department of Health, Port Area, City of Manila.

• ✅ Transfer Permit from Municipality or City Health Office

  • This is not required if you'll be carrying the urn as your hand-carry.

To claim the human remains, you, the consignee, must go to the Cargo Office at the destination.

When you get there, please present:

• One valid ID

• Air Waybill number

  • This can be obtained from the shipper

You can send an authorized representative to claim the human remains. Make sure they present the following requirements: 

1. Authorization Letter signed by you, the consignee 

2. Your valid ID

3. Valid ID of the authorized representative
